Friends of Limington House

Hello and Welcome to the Friends of Limington House page of the Limington House School website.

The Role of Friends of Limington House is to provide support to the school with addidtional funds for much-needed equipment to assist with therapy programmes and events. We are here to offer families a variety of fun, family events along with opportunities for parents and carers to come together in a safe space to meet others, make connections and exchange ideas and experiences.

Personal Statements
Francesca Orsaria – Chair

As chair of Friends of Limington House, I am honoured to be part of an organisation dedicated to helping support our children in any way possible. Recently we have managed to source funding towards much needed equipment for our school and hope to continue this support and more going forward.

Although I am new to the team, I am extremely passionate about Limington House. Our daughter attends the school and we have met so many wonderful children, parents and teachers. To be within the charity that can help contribute to their lives is amazing and I look forward to the future.

Joanna Board – Vice Chair
I’m Joanna Board and the proud Mum of a Limington House pupil who has progressed beyond our expectations at our wonderful school. I was honoured to be asked if I’d like to join the FOLH team and now very happy to be Vice-Chair. I’m originally from Poland and met Rob there when he was working on a new factory for Gillette over 20 years ago. Rob is now the FOLH Treasurer. It’s been lovely to meet other parents at our coffee mornings, discos and school events. I’ve been looking after the pre-loved uniforms and glad to have been able to find new homes for so many! It’s been so rewarding to see the progress we’ve made with FOLH and exciting that we achieved the funding for the Sensory Garden and Swing.
Robert Board – Treasurer

I’m Robert Board and also the proud Father of a Limington House pupil as noted by our Vice-Chair and my wife Joanna! It’s been a great experience being part of the FOLH team and I have the pleasure to be the Treasurer. I’ve just retired from Gillette as their Blades Technical Director after 34 years and so I hope to be able to devote more time to supporting the school over the coming years. As Joanna stated, it’s being wonderful to see the FOLH achievements over the past year and I look forward to an exciting FOLH future!
Amie Peters – Secretay
